An introduction to DDMF ColourEQ, based on information from the maker and distributors: what it does, how to use it and who it may suit. It is not scored.
Not just another EQ: with its custom-made 4th order IIR filter, ColourEQ sounds unlike any other EQ you have ever come across.

What is ColourEQ?
ColourEQ is a free equalizer from plug-in maker DDMF, listed on the official Freeware page.
Its feature is a custom-made 4th-order IIR filter. The five bands are super-parametric peaking filters: besides the usual gain, width and frequency, there is one more parameter that affects the curve shape.
The official page says these shapes cannot be reproduced by ordinary IIR equalizers. Further features are adjustable GUI colors, a freely resizable window, internal 64-bit processing and low CPU usage.
DDMF's freeware supports Windows 7 or later and Mac 10.11 or later, in VST, VST3, Audio Unit and AAX formats, and Apple Silicon is supported.
Custom 4th-order IIR filter
A custom-made 4th-order IIR filter lets it produce curve shapes unlike ordinary EQs, which may be worth comparing with your usual EQ.
Five super-parametric bands
All five bands are peaking filters, with a fourth parameter for the shape in addition to gain, width and frequency.
Adjustable GUI colors
The interface colors can be customized to suit your preference and working environment.
Resizable window
The window can be freely resized, which helps with fine adjustments.
Internal 64-bit processing, low CPU
Processing is 64-bit internally and CPU use is described as low, a point to consider when using many instances.
Wide format and OS support
Provided in VST, VST3, Audio Unit and AAX for Windows and Mac (Intel/Apple), and the page also lists Linux builds.

With its low CPU use, it could be placed lightly on a bus or master.
Narration and streaming voice
With the resizable window it may suit adjusting a voice into a comfortable range while watching frequencies.
