SoundBounty is an information site about plug-ins and gear for people who make music at home (home recording and DTM, short for desktop music).
What this site does
- Sales and free plug-ins: we introduce sales at stores where readers can actually buy, and plug-ins given away for free.
- Comparisons and picks: we compare products in the same category using only the features and specifications the manufacturers publish, and give each an S, A, B or C rank.
- Buying guides and how-tos: we explain how to choose gear and the basics of recording and mixing.
Our policy
- We confirm facts from primary sources. Features and specifications are checked on the official pages of manufacturers and distributors, and prices and sale deadlines on the store page, and we write the date we checked. We do not write numbers or deadlines we cannot confirm.
- Comparisons and ranks are based on official information. Reviews of gear the operator has actually used will be clearly marked as such.
- Ranks do not change with advertising. Whether a product is sold at a store with an affiliate program (referral fees from purchase links) has no effect on scores or ranks.

About advertising (affiliate programs)
SoundBounty takes part in affiliate programs. If you buy a product through a buy button or link in an article, the store may pay SoundBounty a referral fee. You do not pay anything extra. Articles that contain advertising say so at the top.
