What is Cinematic Rooms Professional?

Cinematic Rooms is a surround-capable room reverb from LiquidSonics, offered in Standard and Professional editions. This entry covers Professional.

Professional adds surround editing planes, advanced reverb contouring, reflection and reverb chorus engines, reverb echo and width control on top of Standard.

It includes a ducker/compressor and a gate, both usable with an external sidechain. 480 presets are included, with post rooms and artist presets.

It is designed with film work in mind, but supports stereo too, so it may also be an option for music.

Surround editing planes

Professional adds planes for editing the surround field, aimed at detailed 5.1.4 or 7.1.6 work.

Advanced contouring

Fine control over the shape of the decay, which may help when sculpting how a reverb fades.

Ducker/compressor

A ducker/compressor with optional external sidechain may keep reverb from covering dialogue or vocals.

Gate

A gate triggered by wet, dry or sidechain signal can shape how the reverb is cut off.

480 presets

Includes 480 presets, among them 80 post rooms and artist presets, searchable with reverb-time filtering.

Width and crossfeed

Width control and crossfeed disparity definition are included.
