After you buy: installation and activation
This is the general flow for products bought at Plugin Boutique. Activation differs by product (serial number, a manufacturer account, iLok and so on), so check the instructions in your library after you buy. Steps and screen names can change when the manufacturer updates its software.
- Log in to your Plugin Boutique account and find the product in “Library”.
- Download the installer (you can switch between the Windows and Mac versions). Depending on the product, you also get a serial number, an unlock code or a key file.
- Product-specific steps are under “…” → “Installation Instructions” next to the product in your library, and also near the bottom of the product page.
The basics from receiving a product to installing it are in How to install plug-ins you bought in a sale or got free.
The prices and deadlines of past sales are the information at the time the article was written. They do not indicate the content or timing of the next sale.
How to read this page
- Current sales: sorted by nearest deadline. “Ending soon” at the top left of an image means an article whose end date is within 3 days.
- Past sales we covered: sorted by newest end date. We keep the articles instead of deleting them.
- Buy buttons: the buttons below each article take you to the store page.
Tips for buying in a sale
- Always make a final check of the price and deadline on the store page.
- Before buying, confirm the supported OS, the plug-in formats (VST3, AU, AAX and so on), and the accounts or license activation you need.
- It is also reassuring to look beforehand at overlap with products you already own and at what a bundle includes.
