What is SC203?

The SC203 is a compact stereo desktop speaker set from EVE Audio, built as a 2-way active-passive system with four power amplifiers, one per driver.

The maker positions it for small professional desks, home and gaming setups, and mobile studios.

It has a 3-inch woofer and a compact Air Motion Transformer tweeter with a 400 mm2 folded membrane and integrated waveguide. A passive radiator reinforces the low end instead of a port.

The SMART-knob controls volume, filters and settings, and a satellite setting supports use with a subwoofer. It may suit people who want a monitor that takes little desk space.

SMART-knob

One knob controls volume, filters and settings, and a lock prevents accidental changes.

µA.M.T. tweeter

A compact Air Motion Transformer tweeter with a folded membrane and an integrated waveguide, designed for close listening on a desk.

Passive radiator

Low frequencies are reinforced without a port, which may make placement near a wall easier.

FlexiPad

A rubber pad decouples the speaker from the desk and sets its angle to 0, 7.5 or 15 degrees to match ear height.

DSP filters

High shelf above 3 kHz, desk cut/boost and low shelf below 300 Hz are adjustable, which may help with desk reflections.

Satellite mode

An 80 Hz high-pass satellite mode pairs with the RCA subwoofer out (variable 60 to 140 Hz).

Safe Fade-In and parameter lock

Volume rises slowly at power-on, and settings are kept even without power.
