What is VB-CABLE?

VB-CABLE is a virtual audio cable driver that creates a virtual playback device and a matching recording device, letting one application send audio to another.

Audio arriving at the CABLE Input is simply forwarded to the CABLE Output. It is used to connect audio between streaming software, recorders and call apps.

Windows from XP through Windows 11 (32/64-bit and Arm64) and macOS 10.10 or later (Intel and Apple Silicon) are listed as supported.

It is donationware, so you choose what to pay. VB-CABLE A+B and C+D add more independent virtual cables on the same basis.

Virtual cable

Connects one app's audio output directly to another's input, which may help when you want to record another app's sound.

Works without configuration

It uses a multi-format audio engine and is said to work without configuration with MME, KS, DX and WASAPI interfaces.

Donationware

You pay what you wish, and several licenses in the cart unlock volume pricing.

A+B and C+D extensions

Each adds two independent virtual cables, which suits keeping several audio paths separate at once.

Windows and macOS

Supports Windows (including Arm64) and macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon). The macOS package is a DMG.

Hi-Fi Cable and ASIO Bridge

Separate older packages (2014): the Hi-Fi Cable handles up to 24-bit/384 kHz, and the ASIO Bridge links it with ASIO devices.
