What is dxLevel?
dxLevel is a free plugin for evening out the level of speech, aimed at dialogue in post-production.
It is described for matching loudness across clips, balancing multiple speakers on one microphone and smoothing level changes from moving voices.
You set a LUFS target and it measures the speech and moves it toward that level. In Preserve Ambience mode, only the speech is adjusted and the background ambience is left alone.
Lookahead and leveling speed are adjustable, and it is described for both live and post workflows.
