What is Dehumaniser 2?
Dehumaniser 2 is a vocal processor from Krotos for designing complex vocal sound effects such as creature, monster and robot voices, and for processing dialogue.
It is modular: you connect nodes to build the signal flow, with up to two instances of each node.
Dynamic processing reacts to peak, RMS, energy or pitch, and sample sounds can be triggered by amplitude, pitch or audio descriptors, so the performance can shape the effect.
It includes over 100 presets and a factory library of 133 animal recordings. It can be controlled by MIDI, and hundreds of parameters can be automated.
Node-based routing
Connect nodes to build your own processing flow, with up to two instances of each node.
Dynamic processing
Processing reacts to peak, RMS, energy or pitch, which may let growls change with the voice's loudness and height.
Sample triggering
Samples can be triggered by amplitude, pitch or audio descriptors, which may let animal sounds layer on a performance.
Animal library
133 animal recordings are included as source material for creature voices.
Gate, EQ and limiter per module
Each module has a gate, EQ and limiter, helping manage noise and level while designing.
Macros, MIDI and automation
Custom macro drawers per node, with MIDI control and automation of hundreds of parameters.
100+ presets
Over 100 presets are included, so you can start from a sound and then look inside.
