What is Places?

Places is a free creative algorithmic reverb from Leit Audio with twelve spaces: six imagined Places and six familiar Reverbs.

They range from natural rooms and plates to shimmer and rising tones.

Controls are a place selector, REVERB, MIX and PRE-DELAY. The REVERB knob is tuned to each algorithm, affecting size, decay, density, tone, echo feedback or movement.

Pre-delay goes up to 500 ms. A free account is required; the page states no trials, no subscriptions and no in-plugin activation.

Per-algorithm REVERB

One knob moves the elements suited to each space, so you can vary the sound without a complex screen.

MIX

Blends dry and wet.

Pre-delay up to 500 ms

Separates reverb from the source, which may help keep voices and instruments clear.

Shimmer and rising tones

Beyond natural rooms there are shimmer and rising sounds, which may suit ambient and sound design.
