What is TOTAL Guitar MAX?
TOTAL Guitar MAX is a guitar and bass bundle from IK Multimedia. It is built around the amp simulator AmpliTube 5 MAX, with TONEX SE, MODO Bass 2, MODO Drum 1.5 and three TONEX collections (per the manufacturer’s description on the Plugin Boutique page).
It runs on Mac (Intel and Apple silicon, macOS 11 or later) and Windows 10 or later. Formats are Audio Units, VST 2, VST 3 and AAX on Mac, and VST 2, VST 3 and AAX on Windows. An internet connection is required for authorization and ToneNET (per the manufacturer).
Features
AmpliTube 5 MAX
IK’s amp simulator. The manufacturer describes Dynamic Interaction Modeling from 20 years of research and a Volumetric Impulse Response engine using over 600 impulse responses per speaker. The official AmpliTube 5 page says it includes over 400 guitar and bass amps, cabinets, pedals and studio processors (per the manufacturer).
TONEX SE
Guitar and bass rigs built with AI Machine Modeling, with 200 Tone Models onboard (20 amplifiers and 10 pedal captures) (per the manufacturer).
MODO Bass 2 and MODO Drum 1.5
MODO Bass 2 is a physically modeled electric bass instrument with 8 new basses, including fretless and upright. MODO Drum 1.5 is a physically modeled drum instrument with 13 customizable kits (per the manufacturer).
Three TONEX collections
Metal Gems (100 high-gain Tone Models), Boutique Overdrives 3 (40 Tone Models of three overdrive pedals) and the Signature Bass Collection (150 bass Tone Models) are included (per the manufacturer).
