What is DC Snares?
DC Snares, created with Davide Carbone, is a plug-in for building snares and other percussion by layering sounds. It runs on Mac (VST3, AU, AAX; macOS 10.14 or later, Apple Silicon native) and Windows (VST3, AAX; Windows 7 or later), 64-bit only (per the manufacturer).
Features
Four sound slots
Each slot can hold one of the 684 internal samples, your own sample, or a synth engine, and the randomiser can fill them for you. Every slot has its own amp and pitch envelope (per the manufacturer).
Twelve built-in effects
The effects include Saturator, Resonator, Transient, Compressor, Gate, Limiter and EQ. The Sizzler effect is described as recreating how a room responds to a snare’s rattle (per the manufacturer).
Live waveform feedback
The waveform for each slot and for the whole sound updates as you change sounds and effects (per the manufacturer).
Performance mode
You can pitch sounds with a MIDI controller or the built-in keyboard and play snare rolls with note divisions (per the manufacturer).
