What is Krisp?

Krisp is a voice AI tool built for online meetings and calls. Its core is AI noise cancellation that removes background noise, echo and cross-talk, and it adds transcription, recording and automatic meeting notes in the same app.

The company splits its offering into three products: the AI Meeting Assistant for individuals and teams, Call Center AI for contact centers, and an SDK/API for developers. Home-studio and streaming users are most likely to touch the desktop Meeting Assistant.

It works with many conferencing tools, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Slack Huddles and Webex, with further integrations such as Discord listed. Noise removal can be applied on both the microphone and the speaker side.

It is not a music-production plugin; it is meant to clean up the voices in calls and meetings. It may be one option for people who want clearer voice chat during online sessions or streams.

AI noise cancellation

Removes background noise, echo and cross-talk. It can reportedly be applied to the speaker side as well as the microphone, which may help on calls from noisy places.

Transcription and recording

Meetings can be recorded and transcribed. English runs on the device, and 15 other languages are handled server-side, for 16 languages in total.

AI meeting notes

Summaries, action-item tracking and CRM sync are listed. This may suit people who want to skip writing notes after meetings.

Accent conversion

Converts accents on the speaker and listener sides. Time limits depend on the plan: 1 hour per day on Core and 4 hours per day on the speaker side on Advanced.

Custom vocabulary

Up to 750 terms can be registered to help transcription, which may be useful when jargon or proper names come up often.

Integrations

Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Slack, Discord, Salesforce, HubSpot and Zapier are among the listed integrations. A Chrome extension and mobile apps exist, but the mobile app does not yet include noise cancellation.

Security certifications

SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA and PCI-DSS are listed, which gives something to check when using it for work meetings.
