What is Expanse 3D?
Expanse 3D is a plug-in that makes sound wider, deeper and bigger. Three controls add stereo width, depth and height (per the manufacturer). It is meant for mixing, mastering and sound design.
Formats: on Mac, VST2, VST3, AAX and AU (macOS 10.10 or later, 64-bit only, Apple silicon supported); on Windows, VST2, VST3 and AAX (Windows 8 to 11, 32-bit and 64-bit) (per the Plugin Boutique product page). No iLok or dongle is needed; it activates with a license file.
Features
Wider while keeping the bass tight
The spectral phase processor widens the sound more toward the high end and keeps the low end tight. It is described as fully mono-compatible, and it can generate stereo from a mono source (per the manufacturer).
