What is KNOCK?

KNOCK is an effect from KNOCK Audio for bringing drums forward. It was made by the producer DECAP and combines functions such as PUNCH, which strengthens the attack, and SATURATE, which adds distortion while evening out the loudness, in one plug-in (per the manufacturer).

KNOCK was made by the producer and sound designer DECAP. The manufacturer says it is based on how the drum kit series “DRUMS THAT KNOCK” was made.

PUNCH, SATURATE, SUB, AIR and CLIP

PUNCH is a transient shaper that emphasizes the attack, SATURATE is a three-stage distortion, SUB detects the kick and adds low sound, AIR adds high frequencies (in two types, vintage and clean), and CLIP is a hard or soft clipper (per the manufacturer).
