What is SSL Fusion Bundle?
SSL Fusion Bundle is a set of five plug-ins based on the circuits of Solid State Logic’s analog Fusion unit. SSL says this is the first time all of its Fusion plug-ins can be bought in one bundle (per the manufacturer). You use them inside a DAW.
The bundle contains Fusion HF Compressor, Stereo Image, Transformer, Vintage Drive and Violet EQ (per the manufacturer). The SSL store page does not state system requirements, so please check SSL’s guidance before buying.
Features
Fusion HF Compressor and Vintage Drive
SSL explains that HF Compressor recreates Fusion’s circuit that smooths the high end, adding an analog-style “rounding”. Vintage Drive ranges from soft harmonic distortion with light compression to clearly audible distortion (per the manufacturer).
Stereo Image and Transformer
Stereo Image uses Fusion’s mid/side circuit to adjust width, depth and space. Transformer recreates a transformer’s high-frequency phase shift, harmonics and natural low-frequency roll-off (per the manufacturer).
Violet EQ
It recreates Fusion’s two-band shelving EQ (which boosts or cuts the highs and lows). SSL describes it as its first new analog EQ design in more than 25 years (per the manufacturer).
