Synchro Arts’ “RePitch” is a pitch correction plug-in that fixes the pitch and timing of singing inside your DAW. It comes in two editions, Elements and Standard. In this article we compare the 2 editions on the same criteria as the 15 pitch correction plug-ins on this site. The basis is official manufacturer information.

In short: which one to choose by purpose
- RePitch Elements (rank C): people who want to start graph-editing pitch correction at a reasonable price.
- RePitch Standard (rank A): people who want to line up several vocals, such as the main vocal and harmonies, and align their pitch and timing in detail.
The highest score among the 2 editions is RePitch Standard (rank A, average 3.4). But you do not need to buy a higher edition for features you will not use. Choose the one that fits your purpose.
Main features of RePitch
Natural vocal correction that processes only where needed
RePitch is a pitch correction plug-in that fixes the pitch, timing and vibrato of a vocal on screen (the latest version is RePitch 2). The official page presents its very natural result, based on more than 30 years of development, as its feature. Like Melodyne, it is the type where you move blocks of notes to fix things after recording.
Macros for quick fixes, and a tool that centers pitch on the note
Both editions have a tuning macro that corrects in bulk, the Center Notes tool that moves a note’s pitch to its center, a mode for editing several regions at once, and a function for fixing timing. In supported DAWs it connects directly through ARA2. You can finish basic correction in a short time without detailed operation.
Editing several takes side by side (Standard)
In Standard you can line up several vocal takes on one screen and edit them (Multi-track Editing). There is also SmartAttack, which finds the start of a phrase and aligns the timing to bars and beats or to another track. It suits aligning the timing of the main vocal and harmonies.
Drawing and shaping the pitch (Standard)
Standard also has the Shaper tool, which shapes the pitch curve, the Draw tool, which lets you draw freely, and a formant shift that changes voice quality. You can use them when you want to craft even the shape of scoops and vibrato.
Where it is useful
- Fixing off-pitch and off-timing singing by moving notes on screen
- Lining up the timing of the main vocal and harmonies (Standard)
- Drawing and tidying the shape of scoops and vibrato (Standard)

|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Natural result | How finely you can adjust to correct a vocal naturally | Per note, you can adjust wobble, vibrato, formants and even sibilance | Per note, you can adjust vibrato and formants | Per note, you can correct pitch and timing | You can adjust only how the automatic correction is applied (speed and so on) | Automatic correction only, with no stated way to adjust naturalness |

Each criterion is scored from 1 to 5 on how well the product serves one goal: correcting a cover-song vocal. Scores follow the conditions in the table above, and the rank is based on an average in which "Natural result", the most important criterion for cover songs, counts double. The basis is official manufacturer information. Sound quality and CPU load are not measured, so they are not scored; reviews from trade magazines are introduced in the articles for reference. Price is not part of the score. Features that cannot be confirmed from the manufacturer's or a retailer's description are scored as if absent.

Sound On Sound, February 2023
A review of the product as a whole (not split by edition).
- It rates it as high-quality pitch correction with an easy-to-understand screen and fine adjustment
- It comments that the sound result “depends on the skill of the user” and that the algorithm itself is excellent enough
- It also compares it with Melodyne, saying Melodyne was more natural in tidying pitch wobble
