What is Timeless 3?
FabFilter Timeless 3 is a vintage-style tape delay plug-in. The manufacturer explains that it handles everyday delay jobs well, and that effects, filters, tap patterns and modulation also let you change the sound dramatically (per the manufacturer).
It runs on Windows 7 or later (VST2, VST3, CLAP, AAX) and macOS 10.13 or later (AU, VST2, VST3, CLAP, AAX), on both Apple silicon and Intel. The official site offers a 30-day trial (per the manufacturer).

Features
Vintage filters and creative effects
The stereo delay signal passes through five original effects and up to six analog-style filters before returning to the input through adjustable feedback. You program it while watching the delay and filter displays (per the manufacturer).
Drag-and-drop modulation
Ducking, wow and flutter, dynamic diffusion and more can be set up as modulation by drag and drop. The manufacturer mentions a 50-slot modulation matrix.
Tape-like or smooth time changes
When you change the delay time, you can choose between an analog tape-like movement and a smooth time-stretch-like movement. Up to 16 taps make rhythmic patterns, and feedback, cross-feedback, freeze, mid/side and ping-pong modes are included (per the manufacturer).
FabFilter’s usability
MIDI learn, smooth parameter interpolation, interactive help hints and GPU-accelerated drawing are included (per the manufacturer).
