What is Revoice Pro 5?
Revoice Pro 5 is vocal editing software from Synchro Arts. The manufacturer explains that it lets you align the timing of several vocal takes, correct pitch and make doubles (a sound like a vocal recorded twice) in one application (per the manufacturer).
It runs on macOS 10.14 or later (AU, VST3, AAX; Apple silicon and Intel) and Windows 10 or later (VST3, AAX; Intel and AMD). In a DAW that supports ARA2, audio is exchanged directly with the DAW. Logic on Apple silicon does not support ARA plug-ins (per the manufacturer).
Features
Matching timing: SmartAlign
It aligns the timing of a double-tracked vocal to a guide vocal. It decides automatically which part of the guide to follow, with no prior editing needed, and the strength of the alignment is adjustable (per the manufacturer).
Pitch correction: Shaper Tool and SmartPitch
New in this version are the Shaper Tool, which lets you fine-tune pitch and level curves with “Shape Points”, and SmartPitch, which automatically decides whether a double or harmony should be pitch-matched or left as it is (per the manufacturer).
Vocal doubler
A doubler makes a natural-sounding double even from a vocal that was not double-tracked in the studio (per the manufacturer).
Other editing tools
Automatic matching copies pitch, timing, level and vibrato from another vocal. There are also vibrato editing, a de-esser for harsh “s” sounds, formant shifting and process groups that adjust several processes together (per the manufacturer).
Working with your DAW
With ARA2 DAWs it exchanges audio directly; with other DAWs you can send and return audio with the “Link” plug-in. In Pro Tools a “Quick” plug-in lets you process without leaving the DAW (per the manufacturer).
