What is LANG PEQ-2?
LANG PEQ-2 is a plug-in that recreates the program equalizer of LANG Electronics from the 1960s. Heritage Audio explains that it is based on the same Western Electric patented design as Pultec, and is also called the “transistor Pultec” (per the manufacturer).
In both the low and high bands you can operate boost (lifting) and droop (cutting) separately, and using both near the same frequency makes a distinctive curve. The high peak boost can change its bandwidth (Q) from sharp to broad (per the manufacturer).
The license is iLok-based, and the manufacturer’s page offers a 14-day demo (per the manufacturer).

Adjust boost and droop (cut) separately
In both the low and high bands you can adjust boost (lifting) and droop (cutting) independently. Lifting and cutting at the same or nearby frequencies at the same time makes a curve with a new character that is hard to make with an ordinary EQ (per the manufacturer).
